Frequently Asked Questions

TRT stands for testosterone replacement therapy. Testosterone is given by injection or topical application to optimize hormone levels and treat symptoms such as loss of muscle mass, decreased libido, fatigue, and brain fog.

There are pellets, creams, and pills. However, injections are what is most recommended. Injections are much easier to control results and maintain a healthy balance. The minimal fluctuation with the shots helps minimize side effects as well.

It typically takes about a month for your testosterone to build up in your system. That is when most people notice the benefits such as more energy, better sleep and motivation. However, some patients have noticed results in just a couple of weeks.

It is recommended that you stay on testosterone therapy at least until you retire if you want to get the benefits. If you come off of testosterone it will just drop back to where you were when you began treatment.

Testosterone does not cause prostate cancer. However, if you already have prostate cancer, then testosterone will cause the cancer to grow more quickly. We monitor this very closely.  and therefore catch it early if you were unaware that you had prostate cancer.

When done correctly, including monitoring your blood count, testosterone is actually healthy for your heart and helps protect against further heart disease.

We are several cash membership options to cover a variety of treatment options. It will depend on what works best for each individual. We do everything we can to help every patient afford the treatment they need.

No. We chose to eliminate health insurance for several options: 1. Insurance often doesn’t cover men’s health issues or TRT. However, we do accept FSA or HSA benefit cards. 2. Eliminating insurance eliminates the “middle man.” Insurance dictates what flies and what doesn’t in healthcare. We didn’t want someone behind a computer with an algorithm deciding what was best for our patients.

Each client is invoiced at the end of each month beginning with your first prescription.

Typically we’ll start with labs before we even start treatments. After starting treatment, we will get updated labs at the 3-month mark, and then the 6-month mark. If everything is consistent, then we’ll need labs every 6 months to monitor treatment effect.

If you have lab work from another provider, great! You can bring it with you to your appointment or upload a copy of it to our HIPPA-compliant patient portal. But if those labs are more than 3 months old, we might have to order updated blood work.

All of our appointments are done via telemedicine using your smartphone, tablet, or computer from the privacy of your own home or office.
